One Opinion- “It may be true that dogs can be destructive, especially untrained ones – but bad for the planet? Hardly. They’ve got it all wrong. Dogs actually make the world a better place!”

Factually supported claim- There is no factually supported claims. Just 21 opinionated facts that the author knows about dogs.

National Dog Day: 21 things about dogs

The Washington Post had posted an article saying “Dogs Are Bad For The Planet” and it’s all wrong. Dogs are hard to handle trained and untrained, but that doesn’t mean they are bad for the planet. Dogs are the most loyal creatures on the Earth and they love unconditionally for their whole lives. I feel whoever wrote the Washington Post article had a bad experience once and from then just hated dogs, but the author makes some good points on how dogs make lives better.

Questioner

My dominant tendency is Questioner. I tend to have higher expectations for myself than others do around me which really gets me motivated to do the best I can. Being a Questioner I can thrive in Writing 101S because I am perfectionist when it comes to writing/typing papers and will write/type a paper several times before saying it’s good to go. I don’t quite know how being a Questioner will help in school, but it’s going to be interesting how it plays out.

Couple purchases famous “The Conjuring” home.

This article talks about how a couple, Cory and Jennifer Heinzen, from Maine purchase the farmhouse that was inspired by the 2013 horror film “The Conjuring”. The couple fell in love with the property when they learned it was for sale. The couple want to fix up the old farmhouse and open it to those who also love the paranormal, like them. Cory and Jennifer go to day that they hear footsteps, knocks and lights turning on where there are no light bulbs.

Writing Homework Part 2

I, personally, am not a fan of blogs due to the fact I have always been a very personal individual and scared to put my opinions out in the world.

I think blogs can be a good way to express your views, opinions, personal stories and even have civil debates on matters in society. Blogs are also a great way to read about how others view the world around us and how they would change it for the better. I think they can be very beneficial in helping people open and not be so shy about their writing. Some dream of getting discovered for their opinions, short stories, poems and even articles about subjects.

On another note, I also think blogs can be bad due to the fact that some people rely on the opinions of others to feel validated. I also think that blogs are too mainstream and can be very toxic not only to the writer, but to the readers as well.

Writing Homework Part 1 8/27

Alex Reid finds blogs to be excellent opportunities to express individuals interest in writing not only in a class atmosphere, but maybe as a hobby later down the line. He goes on to say when students who are assigned papers find them distasteful due to all the requirements that come along, but when it comes to writing a blog you are in control of subjects, fonts, how long it shall be and how your posts should be organized. Alex states that when blogging you can find motivation in not only your blogs but writing in general for your profession which can help in the long run of your life. Alex Reid likes the fact that with blogs you can go at your own pace and you can post as much as you want with no restrictions.
